Supporting Content Literacy with Digital Tools 4-12 This course
is designed to assist teachers in using effective instructional practices with technology tools. Participants will explore
research-based active learning strategies that encourage higher order thinking skills, metacognition, and collaborative learning.
There will be a focus on using reading strategies for content area instruction.

Finding Online Resources Blue Web N Check out these "blue ribbon" web sites. Sign up for weekly updates to keep
up with new sites. Onekey Google's search engine for kids. Kidsclick This database has an approximate reading level for each site.
Flickr Great for teachers to find photos for projects or building background knowledge, vocabulary, etc.
Filamentality A great resource for hotlists and webquest created by other teachers. Trackstar Make a
"track" of sites you commonly use and students can access them from home or school. Check out tracks other teachers
have made!
